Sit and enjoy the views of the sea and Looe Island from the shared pool sun terrace. At all other times the park is a quiet retreat for some well earned rest and relaxation. Whilst staying you can enjoy the breathtaking coastline with its string of sandy beaches and eclectic mix of shops taverns eateries and attractions dotted around this exceptional part of the county. The lively city of Plymouth and the new Drake shopping centre are 30 minutes drive away and access to St Austell Bodmin and the famous Eden Project and Gardens of Heligan are within easy reach. These 6 attractive cottages are set in a pretty enclosed courtyard with oak and granite lintels leaded windows stone reveals and slate window sills. The interiors have country pine furnishings and oak effect flooring in the living areas. There are many shared facilities available on site. Leisure facilities: carp fishing lakes new indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub open all year round offering a pleasant and warm environment in both summer and winter with the pool being heated to 28 C and the hot tub to 37 C. There is also a bar mini cinema hot food takeaway and family shop which is open at Easter Whitsun summer school holidays and autumn half term. Play facilities: children s play park. Games room: with pool air hockey and video games. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen electric and central heating included. Limited Wi-Fi available on site payable at reception. Regret no pets or smoking please. Location: Millendreath beach 1.7 miles shop and pub 2 miles. Arrival: 4pm. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double. Bathroom: with shower bath and WC. Looe is a small fishing port and village in the South East of Cornwall, divided in two by the River Looe which runs through East Looe and West Looe, which are connected by a bridge across the river. With sandy beaches, a number of interesting shops and restaurants, fishing trips and regular boat rides, there is much to interest the visitor and plenty to keep folk returning year after year.
Although Looe’s primary business today is tourism, there are a still a good number of local fish dealers bringing in daily catches which are renowned for their quality. Looe has also become something of a centre for shark fishing, the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain having its home here. Nevertheless the influence of tourism in the town is obvious, given the amount of accommodation available, along with gift shops, restaurants, ice cream parlours and, of course, bakeries selling Cornish pasties!
East Looe is notable both for its sandy beach and for the fish dealers who operate on the quay along the estuary. There is an unsual pier called the Banjor Pier and it is on this side of the river that the Looe Valley branch line has its terminus station, providing convenient rail access to the area. Across the river is West Looe, which, like East Looe, has a good number of shops and restaurants. The road through here heads off to the popular fishing village of Polperro – an essential visit if you’re in the area.
There are a number of attractions within driving distance, including Woolly monkey sanctuary, Cotehele, Lanhydrock House, and of course Looe is a great place to visit if you want to fish, dive, walk the coastal path or simply relax on the beach.
